DBE, ACDBE, MBE, and WBE Certification
Package Disadvantaged/Airport Concession Business Enterprise (DBE/ACDBE), Minority Business Enterprise, and Women Business Enterprise certification applications, annual no changes, and renewals in preparation for state and federal supplier diversity programs.
DBE is a company-level diversity certification. DBE certifications are usually issued at the state level through the state’s Department of Transportation and often used as a designation for companies that wish to bid on Department of Transportation contracts.
ACDBE Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) means a concession that is a for-profit small business concern – (1) That is at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged or, in the case of a corporation, in which 51 percent of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals.
MBE Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Owned Business Definition MBE is a company-level ownership/diversity certification. MBE certifications are usually issued by the federal, state, or local government.
WBE Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification Definition. WBE is a company-level diversity certification that can be issued at the federal, state, or local levels, and requirements for application will vary depending on the certificate issuer.
The process to complete the forms and information required for a request for proposal (RFP) with the state and the federal government can be intimidating and time-consuming for small business owners. BECI staff assists in preparing and submitting proposals and providing one-on-one guidance or training in RFP completion.
